He will not delay.

On repeat today.
Always by Tricia Brock

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3YpY8bCWXI

My foes are many they rise against me
But I will hold my ground

I will not fear the war

I will not fear the storm

My help is on the way

My help is on the way

Oh my God, He will not delay

My refuge and strength always

I will not fear, His promise is true

My God will come through always

Always

Struggle surrounds me, chaos abounding

My soul will rest in You

I will not fear the war

I will not fear the storm

My help is on the way

My help is on the way

Oh my God, He will not delay

My refuge and strength always

I will not fear, His promise is true

My God will come through always

Always

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord

From You Lord, From You Lord, From You Lord

Oh my God, He will not delay

My refuge and strength always

I will not fear, His promise is true

My God will come through always

Always

Oh my God, He will not delay

My refuge and strength always

I will not fear, His promise is true

My God will come through always

Music Monday

Fourteen years ago, Kevin and I were married.
I remember in the planning (all 14 weeks of it) it dawned on us that the Lord might like to be invited, like formally, invited.  So we made a point to invite Him, welcome Him, to not only our wedding, but our marriage.

A friend of ours was sitting in the sanctuary hours before the ceremony, praying for our day...I remember him telling us that angels were there...preparing for the ceremony.  It brought tears to my eyes then and still does.

I think the Lord likes to be invited to stuff.

I was reminded of this story last week as we attended the opening service of Gwinnett Church and sang this song.  It touched me deeply that they made a point to invite the Lord to their church.  It seems like the obvious thing to do, does it not?  But I have a hunch, that He may not always be at the top of the invite list...not purposely omitted...just not purposely included. May He always be the One we invite first.

Invite Him into your home.  Your relationships. Your crappy circumstances. Your messes.  Invite Him into the middle of it all.

We welcome You with praise...be welcomed in this place.

Here for You by Chris Tomlin

Music Monday (on Tuesday)

Oops. It's Tuesday.
We sang this song at church on Sunday.
All the lyrics are simple and profound.
Great reminders of Who He is.

The words that most brought tears to my eyes and still does is "You are here."
Let's run into His arms...running anywhere else just doesn't make sense.
He is here.  Even when 'here' seems scary and uncertain...He is here.

Oh I'm running to Your arms...

(Forever Reign, Hillsong)
I prefer the live version on Youtube, but this one has the lyrics.

Music Monday

Well...look at me...two Music Mondays in a row...
What. on. earth? :)

Any chaos or questions in your life right now? Me too.

Let's remember that One Thing Remains...

His love never fails...it never gives up. It never runs out...it goes on and on and on....

Even when it threatens to feel not true...we must believe the Truth...

He loves us and is working for our good.

Music Monday

This may be the one and only Music Monday I ever post, but I wanted to share some songs that have been ministering to me a lot lately.

This one makes me want to get my 'sway' on. Seriously. Get me a choir robe and send me in!

I heard it first driving down the road several months ago...and then again a couple days ago. I will admit that it is the first worship song I have ever heard that is predominately directed to the enemy. Each time I listen to it, I end up shouting and with chills from my head to my toes.
Sing it, Tye Tribbett!!

This past year, the enemy has worked very hard at trying to kill, steal and destroy our lives...
I would like to submit my whole hearted AMEN...accentuated by pyrotechnics at the end...just like this song. :)

Now, this second song is much more chill...we just heard it for the first time at church yesterday. The message brings tears to my eyes and I am claiming the Truth that He makes beautiful things out of dust and out of us.

Enjoy...let me know what you think. Do these songs speak to you??

(BTW... If 'Beautiful Things' is a good representation of the band Gungor,

I may have found my new favorite band....just sayin')
