Life has been swirling around me lately.
Tons of stuff going on. Good stuff. But seems like tons of it.
Last week...7 tons of gravel delivered to our driveway. Yay to no more mosquito breeding pools. Boo to having to shovel/rake huge amounts of gravel.
Dear friends who are transitioning into life on the West Coast (deep breath, heavy sigh) have moved into the back of our house. Yay that they are here...Boo that they are leaving...and boo for lots of stuff that used to be in the back of the house now being in the front of the house...which we need to organize and find new homes for...yuck.
We have a little friend staying with us for a few days while his parents take a trip to Alaska. He is no trouble at all...AT ALL...Yay that he makes 3 kids seem doable. Boo because probably the only reason it seems doable is that he came potty trained and well parented.
Kevin is teaching for the 3rd time in 4 weeks this Sunday. Yay, because he is GREAT at it and is enjoying growing in it...Boo that it is somewhat stressful for him...and therefore somewhat stressful for us. But mostly, yay!
So the Yays, are balancing out the Boos...but still swirling...lots and lots of swirling.
* side note: spell checker is not a fan of the word 'yay'.

I am a huge fan of Yay. And I hear you on the swirling thing...
ReplyDeleteSwirling makes me think of twirling. In dresses. Pretty fluffy flowy summer dresses. Maybe if you and Chloe take some time to twirl in the midst of your swirling it will be another YAY?! We miss you guys lots and are so sad we didn't get to see you this trip! Maybe we can remedy that in July. LOVE YA'LL! Give the Nelsons hugs for us!
